Popular converters are monthly subscriptions that process your statements on their servers. This one is a single payment and never sees your files.
How it works
PDFs downloaded from online banking contain the text of each transaction and where it sits on the page. This tool reads that text with PDF.js (the same engine Firefox uses to show PDFs), finds the lines that start with a date and end with an amount, and lines them up under the statement's own column headings.
Because the work happens inside your browser, there is nothing to upload and nothing to delete afterwards. You can check: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and convert a file. No request carries your data.
Questions
Which banks does it work with?
Any bank whose statement PDF has selectable text (you can highlight a word with your mouse). It understands US, UK and European date and number formats, separate debit/credit columns, single signed amount columns, and descriptions that wrap onto a second line. Summary boxes and totals are skipped.
My statement is a scan or a photo
Scanned images have no text inside them, so this version can't read them. If you can, download the statement again from your bank's website — those PDFs are text-based.
Some rows look wrong
Click the cell and type the correct value, then download. If a whole layout isn't recognised, email us the bank name and the column headings (not the statement itself) and we'll add support.
Can I import the CSV into QuickBooks, Xero or YNAB?
Yes. Rename the columns to what your software expects (for example "Date", "Description", "Amount") and remove the ones you don't need. Amounts use a dot as the decimal separator. If your statement has separate money-in and money-out columns, click "Combine into one Amount column" to get a single column where money out is negative.
Is it really private?
Yes. The page is locked so it can only talk to this website, and the converter never sends anything. We have no copy of your statement and no account system that could hold one.
What if it doesn't work for me?
